The brand's highly anticipated all electric compact SUV, is set to make its global debut on October 1, 2024, in Prague.
This model will be a critical addition to Škoda's electric lineup, following the success of the larger Enyaq iV.
The Elroq is designed to sit just below the Enyaq in Škoda's electric SUV hierarchy, targeting a more affordable, compact market segment while competing with models like the Volvo EX30 and MG 4 EV.
One of the standout features of the Elroq is its implementation of Škoda's new Modern Solid design language, a shift that emphasises a bold, minimalist exterior look. Key design elements include the Tech Deck face, which features Matrix LED headlights and sleek body lines that convey both ruggedness and urban sophistication. The SUV will also sport a new Škoda logo, replacing the traditional badge with modern bonnet lettering. Performance wise, the Elroq will be available in multiple powertrain options. The base version, the Elroq 50, is expected to feature a 55 kWh battery with 170 PS and rear wheel drive.
Higher spec models, such as the Elroq 60 and Elroq 85, will offer increased power and range, with the top end Elroq 85x boasting a 82 kWh battery and up to 286 PS, with a range of approximately 348 miles. These options aim to appeal to a broad range of drivers, from city commuters to those looking for a versatile family vehicle.
The Elroq’s compact yet spacious design will offer practical solutions, including ample cargo capacity and advanced tech features, making it a strong competitor in the growing EV market. Full details and specs are expected to be revealed at the unveiling, with Škoda aiming to attract both eco conscious drivers and those looking for a stylish, functional SUV.
