Business car leasing (BCH) is generally used for a business/company to lease a vehicle to be used by an employee or as a pool car. The lease agreement is in the name of the business. VAT registration is always advantageous as this type of car leasing would attract VAT and a percentage could be recoverable. Car leasing (PCH) however, is used for private individuals, and therefore VAT would be included in all rentals and not recoverable. The lease agreement is in the name of the individual.
Both personal and business leasing include the same benefits. These benefits can include maintenance, tyres, and breakdown if selected and also include Vehicle Excise Duty or Road Fund Licence.
If your vehicle is funded via an operating lease, then VED for the duration of the contract is not included. Motor Insurance is not included and a comprehensive cover is required as a condition of the agreement.
On contract hire agreements, the funder is the owner of the vehicle and you are the named driver.
We deliver our cars free-of-charge, directly to your driveway anywhere in the mainland UK. In most cases, cars will be driven to you by road and will have delivery mileage when they arrive. Trailer options are available too but often incur a small charge.
All vehicles include at least 12 months breakdown cover from the manufacturer although most manufacturers now offer 3 years cover fee of charge. Within the car or van book pack there will be an emergency number to contact day or night.
As a rule, vehicle insurance is not part of the leasing package, however, some funders do offer an inclusive package which also includes maintenance.
This depends on the type of contract taken but usually you can either hand the car back, extend the contract or purchase the vehicle from the finance company (dependent upon the funder).
